This collection of tracks was recorded live at a fundraising event, held for the charity Active8 in 2017. Held on the Compton Castle, Truro, it was a rare chance to see Leski performing as part of their 2008 Album lineup...

Active8 is a charity that supports disabled young people across Cornwall to find new possibilities and independence despite having different abilities.

"Not long before I turned 12, I developed difficulties that made me disabled. I'd lived a very normal life before then, always enthusiastic, enjoying Rugby, going out to see friends and going on bike rides.
These challenges forced me to change my way of life and to find new ways of doing what I love, as well as finding whole new experiences in life. However, this positive outlook was not what I began with.

Becoming disabled so young I became reclusive, keeping myself in my room and not doing anything. I spent little or no time in school because I believed that I couldn't anymore. This is when Active8 came into my life.

Active8 challenged my expectations of what I could get out of life. They pushed me to try new things and to adapt mt new life in ways I believed were impossible.They introduced me to new activities, to new opportunities and to new friends that continue to help me through life today. I can honestly say that without the intervention of Active8 in my life I could not, would not, have become the man I am today. Life is full of opportunities for everyone and it is thanks to Active8 that I have been able to find who I am, to not see my disability as a bad thing, but as a part of what makes me who I am.

I want to take this chance to say thank you. Thank you to everyone from Active8 who has worked so hard to support me, help me grow into the man I am today and for all of the hard work of the staff and volunteers, past and present, that have helped so many people to do things that they never thought were possible. Finally, I want to thank you, because by buying this album you are helping to support the charities life changing work."

Kerensa fell in love with the Hammered Dulcimer during her early teens. She had been playing whistles and singing for a while and it wasn’t long before she was playing Hammered Dulcimer.
